Rail Franchise Bids and Multi-Modal Modelling

We are currently recruiting for transport consultants to work on rail franchise bids and multi-modal modelling.

We are looking for experienced staff from consultant through to principal level to more senior staff used to dealing with challenging and interesting commissions for interesting clients.  We seek consultants who are highly motivated, have the necessary skills as evidenced in their career so far and are client focussed.  You need to be committed to delivering solutions to meet client needs through working as part of a dynamic team of individuals.

Payment and Ticketing

We are also looking for two numerate or technical graduates or those with some early public transport experience to develop their careers supporting our Payment Means and Ticketing team on a range of UK smart ticketing delivery projects.  A key part of the work will include component and system testing on the bench and at Operators in the real world. Our work also covers general fares and ticketing, including advising local authorities and transport operators (bus, tram and train).

At least one post would be based in our central Manchester office, but with travel to client offices as required, and also to our other locations mainly in the UK.  The other post could be in Manchester or another MVA office in the UK. For these posts you will be highly numerate and need a first degree in Computer Sciences or similar strong analytical subject, with a second degree in a transport-related area also desirable.  Strong and creative systems and data skills will be required, along with team-working and delivering work to agreed timescales.  An appropriately directed interest or knowledge of public transport operations would also be beneficial.
